Since its creation, the C.M.S. has been affiliated to the Fédération des Entreprises Monégasques (FEDEM), an interprofessional body whose mission is to study economic, industrial, social and professional issues directly or indirectly affecting the Principality of Monaco.
Since 1945, the FEDEM has been defending the rights and interests of Monegasque companies in all sectors.
It is the preferred contact for the authorities, to whom it passes on strong messages from its members.
In view of its expertise in Monegasque social law, it is regularly consulted on draft legislation and proposals, on which it expresses its observations and positions.
As a social partner, it has the necessary skills to discuss and negotiate all the amendments to the National Collective Labour Agreement and to participate in social dialogue.
The FEDEM also remains very vigilant with regard to any measures likely to undermine the competitiveness of Monegasque companies, which are the guarantors of thousands of jobs.
The FEDEM provides a range of services to its members:- pre-litigation legal assistance in Monegasque employment law,
- privileged access to its quarterly journal Monaco Business News,
- privileged access to professional training programmes in French for foreigners, foreign languages, IT/office automation, digital marketing, data protection (RGPD), management, human resources, communication, reception techniques, payroll management, accounting, the fight against money laundering, the financing of terrorism and corruption (LCB/FT-P-C), in the form of a government retrocession of 25% to 30% exclusive of tax (depending on the training chosen) granted through FEDEM to Monegasque private sector companies under certain conditions,
- an administrative and accounting service for affiliated professional syndicates.
The FEDEM brings together more than 800 member companies, divided into 31 affiliated employers’ groups from all sectors, and more than 80 corresponding member establishments, companies associated on an individual basis.
